Enriching the community through free
public music performances and scholarships
 for next-generation musicians since 1951

From October through April, we invite you to free  concerts that feature a wide variety of musical styles and performers.  From classical to Broadway, vocal and instrumental, solo and ensemble, our new Venice Musicale season offers something for everyone!

Venice Musicale 2023-2024 Season

Thank you for your generous support of Venice Musicale over its 2023-2024 season! The concerts that made up our season offer our audiences a wide variety of musical stylings from classical through pop standards, Americana, spiritual, and Broadway selections. Both vocals and instrumentals have been included, with members, guest artists, and student scholarship winners sharing their talents in performance.

Whether at the individual monthly concerts, Encore Chorus, or the four-hand piano ensemble, Suncoast Duo Pianists, at either Venice Library or St. Mark’s church, we are delighted with the large number of music lovers in attendance! Our Scholarship Concert will be the grand finale of our season with winning students demonstrating their amazing talents on voice, piano, violin, trumpet, bassoon, and flute!

Thursday, November 16, 2023, 3:00 PM, Venice Public Library

Composers and performers of classical music have always been linked in many ways: by their homage to and incorporation of previous generations of musical styles and concepts, and by their innate respect for the traditions they uphold and pass along to new generations of musicians. In this program, featuring works from several centuries and periods of classical music, we will showcase and reveal ties between composers, and witness how some of our youngest, most talented members are "keeping the flame alive." Our talented 2023/2024 scholarship participants will perform on a variety of instruments. Monetary awards for their continuing music studies are derived from Named Donor Funds and from our generous audience members, some of whom have called the Scholarship Concert each season, “a rare and very special musical experience.” We look forward to your sharing with us these unique performances.
